Impiltur: From the View of the Capital

Lyrabar, previously known as Impil's Tor, was a great port-city that served as the capital of Impiltur for many years. It boasted some of the most grand and beautiful builds of the realm, including the Royal Palace and the tower of the Lords of Imphras II. This resplendent city is also where the Talons of Justice are based in the region, a cadre of Silver Dragon Adults who help to protect the land of Impiltur and Damara.

The city was long and narrow, stretching over a mile along the northern coast of the Sea of Fallen Stars. The city houses a large fleet of ships, both military and mercantile. The port was well-protected by the royal warships docked here. These forces, combined with the Talons of Justice, are matched by the fearsome power of the Tower of Mages.

The Tower of Mages lies near the center of the city's wealthier homes, towering above the skyline and keeping the local square ever in it's shadow. A council of 13 Spellcasters make their home in the tower, from Wizards and Warlocks to Sorcerers and Alchemists. They are the main force keeping Impiltur prosperous and safe: As who would wish to tangle with 13 powerful casters?

Damara, and the Hard-Fought Reign of Gareth Dragonsbane

Damara was located in the Cold Lands, and along with neighboring Vaasa, comprised the Bloodstone Lands. It was bordered to the west and northwest by the Galena Mountains, separating it from Vaasa and the Moonsea, and to the east by the Giantspire Mountains and the Rawlinswood (later called the Dunwood), separating it from Narfell. It's northern boundary stretched as far as the Great Glacier,[12][13] and its southern boundary was marked by the "Sidewinder Rivers," a collective term for the Sidewinder and Lench rivers, separating it from Impiltur.

Land of Conflict:

The Witch-King

In just one night in late 1325, Castle Perilous was created on a crag in northern Vaasa by the lich Zhengyi, who claimed power in Vaasa, Damara's neighbor to the West. There Zhengyi has reportedly garnered the support of the goblins, giants and orcs, as well as creatures from other planes and all the undead he could conjure. Damara was on the defensive, holding the Bloodstone Pass which separates the two lands from each other. A young warrior Gareth desperately tries to be the wall that Zhengyi's forces will break upon before spilling over into open lands.

In the following decade, the Damaran forces were slowly able to mount a defensive counter attack to push the forces back through their side of the Bloodstone Pass. After heavy casualties, the up and coming Gareth lead a veteran squad charge through the breach, slaying a young red dragon the Witch King Zhengyi had recruited, bolstering the Damaran forces as they were finally able to push the enemy back and regain their foothold.

The young leader, now titled "Gareth Dragonsbane" and a group of six of his adventuring companions eventually managed to break the Witch-King's rule after a number of adventures and a series of battles comprising the Bloodstone Wars, culminating in the defeat of Zhengyi himself in the year 1336 after more than a decade of struggle.

The Witch King Zhengyi is seen again, gathering his dark forces in the bleak land of Vaasa. Gareth Dragonsbane is struggling to marshal forces after so many years of peace, but is working to secure the Bloodstone pass as of 1353 DR, in our current time.
