CAUTION:This work is currently in a very fragmentary WIP state! I have made my chapter fragments public so that I can share the story with writing group members who do not all have WA accounts. You, dear viewer, are more than welcome to visit, but please bear in mind that scenes are still quite disconnected with substantial gaps in between!
Tibba has never seen the world beyond the high canopy of the jungle he calls home. And why would he? It has everything that the Ghishveldi, the attendant species created to serve the Forest Dragons, could ever want or need. The deadly plants, giant spiders and hungry jungle cats are just a bonus, deterring outsiders from trespassing in their jungle home.
But when large patches of his jungle home start dying of mysterious causes, Tibba must leave the safety of his home to try and find a cure. He'll encounter strange creatures (including dwarves, elves and humans), travel to exotic locations (most of which are depressingly flat)... find himself chased by a group of demon-summoning cultists, visit the Great Halls of Destiny up in the clouds, and explore dark caverns far below the surface.
Fortunately, Tibba isn't alone in his quest. Dimos, a wanderer from the tropical isles of the Storm Dragons, is more than happy to share their travel advice with the young Tibba. Unfortunately, Tibba quickly discovers that Dimos has an uncanny knack for getting into trouble. Hopefully, Dimos' luck at getting out of trouble again extends to their new travel companion as well, otherwise this is going to be an embarrassingly short quest.
