Long ago, before the dragons flew in the peaks, before the rifts ate away at the borders, and before the continent of The Tamed Realms was even named, there was a land of warring kingdoms and vicious feuds spanning centuries. What we now know as The Tamed Realms was a continent full of war, monsters, and wild magic running rampant over the land. This time was known as The Era of Strife, and little is known about this time, other than it ended shortly after the introduction of The Status Ritual for our world by the gods. Do not ignore the history in this book, or else we might return The Era of Strife, and our world will forever be lost to the wars of man, beast, and magic.
