I'll introduce myself.
My name is Sprite, and I am a tiefling. I was risen in The House, although I'm sure you haven't heard of it. I am also a paladin, fighting with faith in Ehlonna. I have taken the Oath of the Ancients, from which I have my power.
I bought this book just today. On the cover is the goddess Ioun. I'm not too familiar with Ioun, but she seems a decent enough deity, and I need a book, so I chose this one.
I don't know why I'm writing, but I really feel like writing. There is so much to say.
My friends and allies are Lars the bard, Lodak the fighter, Adriel the sorcerer, and Shreekback the rogue. Shreekback has been gone for some time, working on his own issues back home, and Adriel has left us recently for their own reasons. We still need a name for our group. Gilmore, the merchant, is our sponsor, and he asked us to choose a name, but we couldn't agree. I was thinking about a name based on the time we delved deep into the ancient tomb of Shak-Ulash. Maybe I can write that story at some point.
Another journal I bought was red, and it featured a tree dripping with blood, and a rapier at its base. I know that sword. It's Bloodbriar, which belongs to Lodak's brother. It's a cursed sword. It might be controlling Lodak's brother. The merchant -- a nice tabaxi fellow -- told me that a goliath left it with the merchant, telling the merchant that the goliath wanted to leave his past behind him or something. I'm certain that this journal belonged to Lodak's brother. I'll give it to Lodak when I pass by him.
Should I be writing everything in this book? I feel that it is a bad idea, but I can't help but want to.
