Danger seems to be a more normal thing for us now. Two large chimeras attacked us today, we were staring death in the face, a death of a comrade was a possibility, and I was still not so bothered by it as I should be. Thankfully, I retain my instincts to heal my comrades.

Two days ago, we were attacked by a bandit. That bandit's name was Slurhk. We had killed his two giant scorpions, and his hopes of success were dwindled into retreat. Yet, Lodak still attacked and killed that retreating foe. I'm not sure what I can do to keep Lodak from shooting at retreating foes. I'd rather not force his actions, and I won't, but my words do not seem to get to him in this matter.

We've also met two new companions: Alzater and Kumbayah. Kumbayah looks to be a bard, like Lars, and Alzater is some sort of spellcaster. Despite Alzater being a dragonborn, she does remind me somewhat of Adriel in her spellcasting. Perhaps Alzater is a sorcerer, like Adriel. On the note of races, Kumbayah is a satyr, a fey race. Kumbayah and Lars have even more in common with that. Albeit, Kumbayah is a full fey, unlike Lars, who isn't.

We're 14 days into our travel, and have 20 days left to reach Al Mipedem. I don't think I've mentioned in this book yet that we're on our way to Al Mipedem. It is there that we will find the Pyramid of Darini.

Szhezeyil is travelling with us as well, along with his lizard friend, whose name is escaping me. While I'm at it, I'll write a role-call for the rest of our party. Myself, Szhezeyil, Szhezeyil's lizard friend, Alzater, Kumbayah, Lars, Lodak, Torina, Lindsey, Silver, and our summoned companions O Mai and Raloqen.

I might also mention that Alzater was brought to us by Shreekback, who gave Alzater a coin to teleport Alzater to us. It appears that Shreekback can still not make it to us, but has sent us a knowledgable companion to aid us.

Oh, I think the lizard guy is named Rahas. Me forgetting his name reminds me of Szhezyil's unreliable memory. Despite his health, Szhezeyil seems happy to be out and about again. His immense power is held back by his aging memory, but he is welcome none-the-less.

I've also been told by the Zhao Aurou government that I should have a last name. I haven't thought about it before. They let me off without a last name, but perhaps I should make myself one. I've thought about it, and a last name should be representative of your family, right? So I will name myself Sprite Chesrial, after my homeland forest. I'm hoping that name isn't yet taken. It is strange to simply say that my name is different, and have it be true. I'd imagined there'd be some great buildup, carving my name into a metal plate, then the gods floating down to name me by my new name. But no, I simply wrote it and it became true. It's strange.
